Denmark’s immigration minister has been widely rebuffed after she suggested Muslims should take time off work during Ramadan because of potential safety risks to the rest of society.
Inger Stojberg, who has a reputation for hardline immigration policies, said fasting throughout the working day raised challenges for modern society.
She cited potential risks for bus drivers and in hospitals.
Bus companies were among the first to say they had no problem with Ramadan.

Nonetheless, spurred by Trump’s rhetoric, in 2017, Immigration and Customs Enforcement launched “Operation Matador” aimed to “target violent gang members and their associates.” According to the National Gang Center, gangs form in the most disenfranchised communities as another symptom of social and economic inequality that plagues communities of color. The result of Matador, according to the report, is increased surveillance on communities of color by local law enforcement and federal agencies. According to ProPublica, in 2017, “ICE arrested nearly four times more immigrants simply for being suspected of belonging to MS-13 than it did in 2016.”

Aaron Schlossberg Who Harassed Spanish Speakers Is a Big Baby

Aaron Schlossberg, the Manhattan lawyer whose racist rant at Spanish speaking restaurant employees went viral this week, doesn’t like being in the limelight. He probably should have thought about that before loudly harassing Latinx people in a busy Midtown eatery.

Reporters and paparazzi swarmed the 42-year-old as he attempted to leave his apartment this morning, leaving him so overwhelmed that he called the cops and accused a New York Daily News reporter of harassment.

Toward the end of the video, Hayes thanks the officers for sticking up for him in light of Karen’s madness.

“You know why the lady called the police on me,” he said in the video. “But at the end of the day, she did not just want me in her neighborhood.

“The police, they were on my side,” he added. “I’m happy to be going home now. Finna go home and see my wife. I’m about to hug her, I’m about to see my son. Maybe see another day. Didn’t go to jail.”

The transparently racist nature of these waivers would be laughable if the consequences weren’t so devastating. Unfortunately, much like President Trump’s Black History Month speech, the contributions of many black feminists to the feminist movement have long been overlooked and replaced with an overwhelmingly white narrative due to an unwillingness from the movement to understand that while women of color are affected by sexism, as is every woman in a patriarchal society, black women and other women of color must also deal with a systematic racism that many white women will rarely, if ever, face in the United States.
